Fundraising

A lot of work goes on behind the scenes within EMG. We are seen as one of the most proactive groups in the country, although we are affiliated to RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders we do not receive any funding from headquarters.

We are an independent non-profit making charity - registered with the charity commission No 1002840

Anything that we do we currently have to support ourselves. For approximately 12 years we organised an event called 'TryDrive' at the Derby City Motorshow, this event was our main source of income for the group. Unfortunately in 2007 the City Motorshow was abandoned by the promoter, as such we lost a valuable source of revenue.

It is not the intention of the committee to ask for an increase in membership, far from it, we have found ways for you to support the group if you use the internet.

Register with this organisation and make internet purchases via this site, it's so easy, all you have to do is login into the easyfundraising site, take the link to any of the 600+ retailers and make your purchase, it is no more expensive than going direct to the retailers site direct - in fact it can be cheaper. In return the group receives either a fixed payment or a percentage value of your purchase:

Login into this site register our good cause and use this as your search engine instead of Google, ask.com etc.. For every search that you make we receive 0.5p, ask your family, friends neighbours work colleagues etc..

If you are using a modern website browser such as Firefox, Internet Explorer 7 or above, etc then you can add Easysearch to the browsers search engine bar:

  1. Go to http://roadar.easysearch.org.uk
  2. Go to the Widgets box on the left hand side of the screen
  3. Click on the 'easysearch from my Browser' link
  4. Click 'Add' from the pop-up window
  5. Start searching
